Wasn't Cave In supposed to be on this?
Wasn't Cave In supposed to be on this?
they were on the original band list, but were removed pretty quickly. not like it matters, it just would have been their magnified cover.

I can't wait to hear this. Failure is one of my favorite bands. Paramore's version of "Stuck on You" was fucking weak as hell though. Hopefully the rest of tribute is much better.
paramore's cover is good, and im pretty confident it'll be the best, and perhaps even the only good cover on here

the cover on myspace is not paramore. it's the other band listed in the electronic release. i heard the whole disc and all the bands did really well. there was maybe like 1-2 songs that i wasn't feeling but the production is top notch. the paramore cover was so-so, the other band actually did it better.
as for cave in, what i heard is they originally were going to do it but backed out because they wanted it for their exclusive release. no clue what happened to the rev smile. paramore ended up on the tribute because ken asked to put them on there.
oh also this shit is droppin' in july.

i was under the impression you just heard the myspaces. it's all good.
nope, the paramore cover was released on their summer tic ep in 2006, so i was going by that. i didnt even realize there was another sampler up. i guess this other version of stuck on you could be a lot worse.

Honestly, aren't there about 42 albums (or 42 releases about these albums coming out)?

This might be the worst tribute album ever. Seriously, get some fucking good bands. They should put the APC cover of Nurse Who Loved Me on it to at least give the album one good cover. I know that shits been out for years but it'd be better than any of the horseshit on this album. Why do shitty bands always do the covers for good bands tribute albums? PLEASE GET SOMEONE WORTH A FUCK!

for someone who hasn't even heard the album, i think your jumping to conclusions a little early. there was talk of apc allowing their version to be on it originally but i never heard anything after it was mentioned to me.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone heard any material from Digital Noise Academy? It's the only Ken Andrews project I haven't checked out yet.
i didnt realize they shorted it from los angeles digital noise academy. the one full song they had on there a while ago was a ken fronted one i think, so it didnt sound too different from what he does, but with so many different people involved i cant imagine its all gonna sound the same. the 3 clips on their site are pretty different.
Upon the first few listens, this sounds good. Not sure what people are complaining about. It is a TRIBUTE album after all.
