my car got jacked into 2 nights ago, they took my golf clubs and tool box but not my CD's. Sorry to put a bummer on your thread, just had to notify that so I can get some sympathy.

Dicked up, man. I think I may have an old set at my parents. If ur ever down here... and I can manage to enter into the fortress to retrieve them without getting caught... you can have 'em.

That's a good picture of the experience, but this thread is focused more towards gear.

Today: black Lacoste polo (classic fit, natch) w/ white long-sleeve undershirt; dark green and subtle black plaid Rusty shorts; Corte Bella C.C. Sun City, AZ cap; tortoise shell Ray Ban Wayfarers and Rolex Explorer II Oyster Perpetual watch; a day-and-a-half's worth of stubble; Juicy Couture Dirty English cologne; Mitchum clear gel deodorant and a sprinkle of Gold Bond w/ Aloe for the bananan hammock.

Soccer for white kids ends at 12. I never played cuz running sucks. Adult white males don't play soccer here because there's about 394 Mexican dudes at every park waiting to take your ass down.

See, and here you always struck me as the type that would wear socks. Have you figured out all wrong I'm afraid.

I only wear socks with dress shoes. In fact, I hate socks and wear flip flops 90% of the year.

Also have a taylor v-steel 3 wood in the bag that I rarely use and will likely replace with g10 once they stop trying to sell it for $240.

They have demos of the i3's at the course I play at, and they're solid. I actually get more distance out of those than my Wilson's, but I played DCI's forever and am getting off on the forgiveness of a cavity-back now.
And I'm way overdue for some new shoes (see: no socks comment)

Yeah, I love em. Bought them off ebay when I started playing 3 years ago and they had no play wear at all. They're getting older but they feel so good I've been able to resist an "upgrade" quite nicely.
Track your cap?
Rounds annually?

Cap was on clearance at the golf shop; never played in AZ. I need to get my uncle to send me another Augusta Nat'l cap because it's my usual, and it's getting pretty severe... dudes ape over that shit, it's hysterical. It's like "fuck yeah, I've been in the Amen Corner."
And probably no more than a dozen, actually. I play at a Muni, but it's like one of the best courses in Texas (Memorial GC Houston) regardless, so I can just play a few holes now and then.
I have a driving range card (they've got an automatic dispenser plus it's lighted), and I try to hit 90 at least 4 times a week... just as like, some zen time.
When my dad and I were getting along, he'd take me on "business trips" with him. So, I've got the hook-up at Medinah in Chicago and The Colonial in Fort Worth as well. It's been a coupla' years though.

They often raffle clubs/shirts/hats on late nights here so people don't mutiny. I have yet to win a club, but I was always scared of winning one anyway since I would never do anything with it outside of the obvious.
You know, club shit.

Looks quite dynamic for a municipal, lots of nice bunkering. A hell of a lot better than municipal courses around here.

When I lived on a course and was playing 4 times a week, I was at an 11. But that was also like... during high school. I shot in the low 90's the last time I played, but I doubled like 5 holes... it was for shit.
And yeah, it's an amazing course really. It was built in the late 30's. And for 2 people and a cart, it's like $50 on a weekday.
I don't know anyone else here who plays, and there aren't many dudes out there my age during the day... it's like an old man social club.
Fuck me, for a course with such nice real estate, Woodlands really lets their rough dry the fuck out.
there are 3 courses right there lumped together; the one furthest east is the TPC and I've not seen it since it went private... is that the one you're talking about? I played the North course (the South course is Palmer designed, hell of hard) not too long ago and it was fine.

Nate has some good stories about my golfing escapades.
I almost miss him not having a car. He hates Memorial Park so much, yet we'd always seem to mysteriously end up there as opposed to "our" "intended" destination.

I really wanna upgrade to blade irons, better driver, better fairway wood
I think I'm like a 12 handicap tho.. been sucking it up the past few years but found out my set up was way wrong. Apparently I have a good swing but somehow I set up with the club face way too closed and by some miracle of youth and science I compensated somehow and actually hit the ball off the ground. Haven't been able to practice the new set up yet but the few times I tried I just said to myself.. this is way fuckin easier to hit the ball.. golf might actually be fun again.
Lets just say my lob set up is equivalent to how open you are supposed to be.. I said.. wait.. this is my lob set up.. they said.. no.. thats a normally opened face. fuck my life
O.P.S.
