the 40x combo is pretty easy actually. punch, double tap x, punch, double tap x, repeat until its 40x. of course counters and takedowns will be included, but you get the jist. easiest to get it done at is sewer rat extreme.

ok that's cool. they have some pretty good deals on there. i also like how you can send in your old played out games and it goes towards your monthly fee. i have a really great used game/movie store here though that pays more than gamefly or gamestop and sells for less, so it's hard for me to not use them. i saw batman for 360 there for $35 the other day and they pay 2/3 of what they sell it for so sometimes you get paid ok.

So whereas most games where you see the dashboard and you can only look forward now you'll be able to move your head slightly left/right/whatever and it will shift the viewpoint

i saw assault on dark athena for $20 at target today. picked up legends of wrestlemania for $10. it was a fairly exciting little bargain bin. madworld for wii was $15. none of this was listed on the website though. so it might just be random games at random stores.

Played Batman for a few hours today, already 45% done - going to try and platinum it on one rental. Those riddler maps make it way easy collecting shit. I'm on the Ivy quest right now. Gameplay is fun, and I do love the whole metroid/bioshockish feel it is although it is nowhere near as good as either of those games/genres. Fun game.

It seems lots of people were waiting for Sony to bring out a cheaper, more attractive version of the PS3. Whilst the aesthetics are purely subjective (I prefer the Slim, to be honest) the price cut certainly isn’t, and it’s bringing Sony lots of new sales from people who see games consoles priced at over £250 something of a luxury, as IndustryGamers report that according to Sterne Agee analyst (yes, another analyst) Arvind Bhatia PS3 hardware sales appear to be well ahead of market expectations.

“Our channel checks show that PS3 hardware sales remained strong in the second week of September following very strong sales in the first week of September. The first week of September saw a 300% lift at top retailers according to Sony. Our checks suggest stronger pent-up demand than expected. We now believe PS3 hardware sales in September have the potential to be up as much as 75% year on year versus our most recent upwardly revised expectation of +50% year on year. We believe this is stronger than market expectations,” said Bhatia.

“We believe PS3 sales for the month of September could be up even more than our estimate of +75% depending on supply. Our contacts indicate that while PS3 supplies are currently normal there is risk of shortages by the end of this month,” he added, suggesting that potential PS3 Slim buyers should probably get down to GAME as quickly as possible.

The outlook isn’t so rosy for Microsoft, “in contrast to the PS3, our checks show that hardware sales of Xbox 360 have shown only a slight lift of around 5% to 10% following its recent price cut. so the uncharted demo is fucking unreal. i only played two games because i have to go to work and it is incredible.

played one deathmatch and then one team deathmatch RPGS. the two maps i played were beautiful with tons of places to hide. One was a snow map which didnt have any buildings and the next was a little village with buildings everywhere. you could go inside and get on top of them. Also, a fucking tank came out of nowhere.

the leveling system is nice as well and lets you purchase upgrades and perks depending on how well you do.

yeah i stopped by there today just to check on that so i can get uncharted. i can make 2 dollars more selling to gamefly, but im gonna have to wait forever to get uncharted from them, plus i dont feel like shipping it

selling back to gamefly is pretty sweet. i did some research and checked all the bargain bins at the targets around here (had the gf's help with this) and checked to see how much gamefly was paying for said games. shipping was only like $5/package. i had three boxes (10x8x3) of games. haha.

ended up making like $100 profit in monthly fee credit, so that was pretty sweet. good example is legends of wrestlemania for 360. target is selling them for $10 and gamefly is buying for $17.50. you can sell up to three of the same title.

Leaked Sega doc confirms PS2 and Dreamcast games for PS3! screenshot

If this is true, then somebody has slipped up big time. A planning document has appeared on Sega's PR site that, for all intents and purposes, confirms the existence of PlayStation 2/PlayStation 3 backwards compatability. The document says, clear as day, that Sony has plans to sell PS2 games via the PSN. If Sony's planning that, the PS3's going to need some emulation capabilities for all units.

Here's what the document says:

PS2 emulator for PS3 (confidential)

* SCEA wants to sell all PS2 titles on PSN (GTA Vice City/Sonic/etc)
* For co Marketing money show PS3 controller on TV ads – similar to EA Madden Spots, NCAA, etc…

This isn't all the document reveals, either. It contains a number of Sega inner workings, such as the revelation that the publisher feels "Mass Effect is more RPG" than Alpha Protocol, a Bayonetta action figure is being considered, and that Aliens vs. Predator could ship on a hybrid Blu-ray that contains the movies. There's also talk of Sony motion controller plans and PSN Dreamcast games! Hot stuff!

I have a feeling this doc is genuine, as I tried the download link and it certainly comes from Sega's own PR site. This means some huge things, and somebody's probably going to get into a lot of trouble.

Still, the document is full of all sorts of interesting and/or crazy items, so scour through it after the jump. You really want to check this out.

i finally got a code that worked a couple days ago (took me like 4 tries) and i went from lvl 1 to lvl 6 in two matches. it's pretty fun, reminds me a lot of the first socom. i'm not gonna get too enthralled with it right now though, since the rankings are going to reset when the game comes out. i'm really digging the revamped controls. using the grenades is a great deal smoother now and switching guns while aiming is sweet. not something i thought i would use a lot of but turns out to be pretty useful.

You can play any "psone classic" you get in the ps store on your ps3 and your psp (any version). That's why I think that idea's so badass. I want mgs, re, fft, maybe even gex 3. And yeah realisticly, I should wait to get a go, but I seriously doubt they are going to be putting out a "cheap more powerful original version" of the psp after raping the scene with this sweet design. The screen is a little smaller, but the resolution is the same. And it's got 16gb on board with bluetooth, which just spanks the original psp.

i think the go looks awesome but i'm not on board with the completely digital format. i hate umd's with a passion (they are so damn loud) but if i bought a go, what do i do with all my current umd's? i'm not going to have one psp for disc games and one for digital games, especially since sony isn't doing the transfer program and i'm sure the go has the new firmware which hasn't been hacked yet.

i was in gamestop yesterday and the guy that works there was saying a lot of people are trading in all their games and psp's to buy a go and only buying the digital versions of the games they still play. seems kinda silly to me but whatever.

i think the game is a great idea but if you read the comments, a lot of the people playing the beta are saying it's really bland. i don't know if they can pull this off, the game is scheduled for release in three months.

that article got me thinking about how much fun and completely awesome the first socom was. i don't think i've played any game more than that (online of course, the single player was lame) i hope they can revive the franchise and release a quality socom for the ps3 because confrontation is fucking horrible.

i actually havent even played it hahaha. problem is, it isnt the SNES version, which is far superior than the arcade version that ubisoft updated. so youre missing the cool shit like throwing foot soldiers at the screen, etc... that the SNES version had put in for it.

im not worried about over playing it. i was actually gonna play the multiplayer right away so i could rank up super fast since 90% of the people will suck and not know what they are doing.

i have a faint glimmer of hope this will have clan support but since it was never brought up in any interview or anything, i doubt it will.

also got a pretty cool looking poster. got lumped with 4 randoms on a team, and played in a tournament. we got 4th out of 16 teams. winning team took home the uncharted fortune hunters edition, or whatever its called..
