My PS3 is used more often. The only thing I play on 360 is Call of Duty. I will be getting Alan Wake and Bayonetta for 360 though. Everything else PS3.

i will probably still use my 360 more for netflix because it seems to get better wireless reception than the ps3 - at least for me. it's pretty awesome though to have multiple options for netflix. it will really come in handy if the gf wants to watch something and i'm playing the other system.

i have less problems when i'm actually doing something online but as far as being signed in while playing an offline part of a game...pretty much a no-go. 360 never randomly signs me out...but it shouldn't since you pay for the service.

Yeah my PS3s wireless reception is terrible, and I get signed out constantly. Don't play anything online with it because of that. Only play CoD online anyways.

i dont understand why so many people seem to have trouble streaming to ps3s. my router is down the hall in another room, behind closed doors half the time, and i NEVER got a drop out or stuttering

I really can't figure it out either. I've had the same issue with 2 different routers now and every other wireless device in my house runs fine. I rarely get signed out of PSN but streaming video from my computer is a joke and even streaming music is iffy at best. I frequently get "File is corrupt" messages when I know there's nothing wrong with the file, and then the piece of shit won't even attempt to play it again. Again, no such issues with my 360. Hell, my iPhone streams music from my hard drive from across town better than my PS3 does from downstairs.

i wonder if that has anything to do with microsoft coming out earlier this year and saying that netflix would be "exclusive" on the 360 for the foreseeable future.

i wonder if they had some sort of agreement that launching netflix from the dashboard was a 360 only thing (since technically the disc route the application isn't "ON the PS3") and that agreement ends "late 2010" when netflix says that they'll be able to put the netflix in the XMB? It's not like they couldn't figure out technologically how to make it work because using the blu-ray disc and blu-ray live internet connection is waaaay more complicated then just putting an app on the xmb on the next update

either way, while it's a bit strange to have to put the disc in, it's no more of an inconvenience then the 360 is when it has games on multiple discs

you can stream netflix on so many things now, it's pretty odd that someone would only have the ps3 that is capable of doing it.

sony is really starting to look out for their customers though. it was only a matter of time and i'm digging it. they probably wanted to wait until the ps3 was making a profit before they invested more money into it. it's the little things like this that is gonna push sony past microsoft in this generation's console war.

neither of them are gonna catch the wii though in sales.

on madden this year, the numbers between 360 and ps3 were similar and there are more 360 owners, so that is promising. i love all my consoles and i want to see them all do well for my gaming enjoyment and their wallets so we can be assured the best product down the line.

Haven't had a lot of free time, but played Uncharted 2 for a few hours. I'm on chapter 16. Can't say anything about that game that hasn't already been said - it's fucking amazing.

Tekken 6 came out today and my friends and I have been playing the shit out of that all night. A little disappointed that there are no big monsterish characters. Tekken Tag is my favorite because there's so many goddamn characters. The new characters are pretty sweet, especially Bob, the fat fuck. The online is pretty good, but all depends on how your and your opponents connections are. Lags occasionally which makes playing online bazaar at first.

Got rid of brutal legend, didn't even finish it - it's cool at first, but I don't have time for this fucking game right now with how many better ones are out. 8bit and I will be starting the co op borderlands next week, so I imagine that will be taking way too much time to be healthy, but [so good.gif]. Fallout 3 goty and demon's souls are on the way, as well, but it's best to get Borderlands online experience while it's fresh.

Demon Souls is pretty cool (if you liked Kings Field especially) It is very time consuming you have to grind at some points or you are dead in the water (first playthrough took me 60+ hrs) if you don't have the time to put into it I would steer clear. Overall though it has been my favorite game this year (No I have not played Uncharted 2 nor will I probably think it is because it looks like the same stuff from one just prettier)

I beat Uncharted 2 last night and thought it was pretty sweet. I can't talk too much shit about how I thought it was easier because the last time I played Uncharted 1 it was on Crushing, so I just have to wait to compare them on Crushing (but the last boss was easy as fuck - run around and shoot blue things weeeeeeeeee).

when i put in borderlands and go to online and get signed out, then put in uncharted 2 and play an online game just fine, then put in littlebigplanet and play an online game just fine, then put borderlands back in and go to multiplayer and get signed out all in a half hour span, its not a fucking router issue.

a lot of people are having the same problem im having. some can even play the game online if they use a secondary profile on their ps3, but as soon as they switch to their main one, it signs them out. no one routers when playing borderlands is the problem.

Demo is out on european store at least so if you want it I guess it should be possible to dl and buy it. I already passed that to my 3 PS3 owning friends too.

It's repetitive as hell and there's only 7 different arenas, but really fun, dont really understand why it's got bad reviews. Housemarques twinstick zombieshooter should be reeaaally good to top this.

i'm not going to play a whole lot of the multiplayer and i didn't care for the first one, so it probably won't live up to all the hype as far as i'm concerned. the game is so hyped up (probably more than any game in history) that anything less than complete perfection is going to be somewhat of a letdown. i'm not gonna bash the game or anything like that because i'm sure it's well done and will win a whole bunch of awards but i'm over first person shooters right now and haven't been into the call of duty series in some time. it's gonna take something extremely fresh and amazing to get me back into the whole fps scene. bioshock was the last fps that wowed me.

dude, mad mel was the easiest boss of them all I think... get yourself an ok gun with an electric element (mine was a level 18 Hard Orion sniper, I think 190 damage), hop out of the car, it's a one shot kill (same with all other cars in the game)...


I beat the game solo on the weekend, the end felt like a huge ripoff... I know there's not much of a story but they could have at least made an effort for the ending... apparently the game gets better on the second playthrough though, different enemies/harder/better loot. I think I'm going to go back to uncharted 2, then finish leveling up my sniper before I try multiplayer... I'll have to start a few gams with the other classes too if I want to plat it, which is a little lame.

EA and DICE announced today that the multiplayer beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will launch on Thursday, November 19, exclusively on Sony's console. As with the recent God of War III demo, a beta code will be offered as a pre-order incentive from GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy (visit the game's official site to check which other retailers are participating).

The beta will focus on one of Bad Company 2's new multiplayer game types: Rush. This multi-stage battle takes place on a map called Arica Harbor, which is broken into unique areas for each round. American forces push forward on foot and in vehicles to scrap with Russian troops outside a military base, in an urban environment and eventually at the harbor itself in a "last stand" scenario.

EA plans to begin a PC round of the beta in December, followed up by an all-new multiplayer demo for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC early next year

I used bestbuy.com and toysrus.com. ToysRus let me exchange my extra Uncharted 2 for borderlands in store, no questions asked. But then again, I didn't get U2 untill 2 weeks after release. Best Buy said that their online is a seperate entity, and although exchanges/refunds can be made at the store, the buy2get1 is really an isolated incident where they can't open a line for potential abuse. Thus making you go through a hassle of mailing shit or just saying fuckit and keeping what you got. I imagine I'll do the latter.

holy shit, killzone 2 is one of the lamest games i've ever played. i had quit playing a week or so ago because it was so gay but forced myself to finish it today. i have never seen such idiotic ai in my entire life. there was no point in having a partner with you because they did absolutely nothing. the weapons were bland, all the enemies looked the same and the final boss was the cheesiest and most anti-climatic battle i have experienced in a long time. on top of all that, the story sucks and the voice acting is annoying as fuck. at least it looked nice.

i hate this game and i want to kill the faggot at gamestop that said it was one of the best exclusives on any system and a must have title for ps3.

i'm not the only person on here that didn't like the game so i'm not having one of those "moments" i sometimes delve into. maybe the game was just too hyped up, i had been hearing so much praise since it came out (and i did read a few reviews prior to playing) that there was probably no way it would live up to it all. i enjoyed maybe 10% of the game - which was all at the beginning - and i didn't even try the multiplayer but i can't imagine it not sucking.

assassins creed 2 is absolutely incredible. i've barely even touched the actual story line missions and im loving every minute of it. there are some control and camera issues that have carried over from the first game but nowhere near as bad however. every other complaint i had has been addressed in the sequel. im pretty sure that we will see a 3rd installment set in modern day and you play as desmond, whos now trained as a real assassin and must take down abstergo.

I hope they don't go modern day so fast. I really like the atmosphere of both games so far. I think Desmond's story is pretty boring and needs to be fleshed out a bit more.

ok so in the bad company 2 beta, the thing that is annoying me the most is when you die, the camera goes to the guy that killed you. doesn't sound so bad but if you've got a sweet spot and you're sniping, all the guys you killed now know where you are.

the sniper rifle itslef is a tad frustrating. you have to get out of the scope after every shot to reload the thing and i've shot multiple people in the head and they didn't die. a chest or head shot with a sniper rifle should be one shot kill.

other than that i'm having a blast with this and i'm not big on multiplayer shooters. can't wait for the final release.

getting out of the scope to reload is only on certain guns. id consider it an equalizer. the most powerful guns will have you reload after one shot. others like the qby have 10 shots.

for your missed head shots, keep in mind if youre far away there is bullet dropping. youre not shooting a laser so the farther away the more the bullet will drop from the middle of your cross hairs. compensate for it by aiming up a tad and youll get your head shot.

the missions dont start on any specific number, it just goes by your level. if your guy was level 12, it would adjust accordingly. if you level up more, so will the enemies, so just play through it.

You can do both with tversity. That's all I've ever used for video/audio. Just add your mp3 folders to your media center shared folders, click refresh, and boom goes the dynamite.

is your tv set up with subchannels so its running at an imitated 1200Hz? or even 120Hz. PS3 runs at 60Hz and if your tv is set up for 120hz, most 120hz tvs have a switch to put it back down to 60. Could be the issue, I know with the my cable box if I have the tv on 120hz it causes issues because none of the signals are actually 120hz yet.
